Pedro Antonio Arcaya Febres (Chairman)
paarcaya@arcayafamily.comWith decades of experience in the Venezuelan and international insurance market, Pedro was the CEO of Royal & SunAlliance Seguros (Venezuela) from which he later participated with a group of local investors in its acquisition. Later, he led the transformation process of it in Estar Seguros, S.A. He was the CEO of Seguros Chubb de Venezuela. He advised and participated in the acquisition of Seguros Los Andes, serving as an Executive Director during its transformation and relaunch. In 2014 Pedro participated in the acquisition of C.A. Reaseguradora Internacional de Venezuela, RIV where he was its CEO until 2020 and now serves as Chairman of its Board of Directors. In 2019, he led the acquisition process of the local operations of Zurich Seguros, S.A., currently Real Seguros, S.A. Pedro was a reinsurer at Lloyds in London. He has been a Director of the Chamber of Insurers of Venezuela and the National Insurance Council, as well as a member of the board of directors of many international insurance companies in Latin America and the Caribbean. Pedro is a lawyer who graduated from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and has a specialization degree in Management from the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración IESA and has completed several courses on management and organizational structure in Munich, Zurich, and London.
Francisco Gámez Arcaya (Director)
fgamez@arcayafamily.comWith more than twenty-five years of experience as a corporate lawyer in the area of financing, structures, mergers, and acquisitions, Francisco supervises and assists all other areas of operation in the corporate and compliance matters, and in the negotiations and management of new projects of Arcaya Family Office. Francisco is also an expert in family business organizations and governance and serves as a member of the General Directive College of Regnum Christi in Rome. Graduated as a lawyer from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in 1997, Francisco has a specialization at the same University in Financial and Tax Law (1999), a Master of Laws from Cornell University, USA (2001), and a Master of Laws from the University of Toronto, Canada (2016), as well as philosophy studies at the Universidad de Navarra, Spain.
Raúl Sanz Arcaya (Director)
rsanz@arcayafamily.comSince May 2019, Raúl has held the position of CEO and Principal Director of Real Seguros, S.A. (formerly Zurich Seguros de Venezuela). He began his career in the insurance industry, following the family trajectory in the field, in C.A. Reaseguradora Internacional de Venezuela RIV where he held the position of Vice President of Underwriting and Marketing. Raúl participates as Director in the Chamber of Insurers of Venezuela. Raúl is in charge of the operational and management area of Arcaya Family Office.He is an economist graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where he studied thanks to a golf scholarship, and graduated with sports and academic honors in 2005. In 2016, he completed a Diploma in Insurance at the Chilean School of Insurance.
Juan Bernardo Sanz Arcaya (Director)
jbsanz@arcayafamily.comJuan Bernardo led the acquisition process of C.A. ReaseguradoraInternacional de Venezuela, RIV, and organized its relaunch in the local market. Since 2014 he has been its Director and Executive Vice President and as of January 2020, he is the CEO. Juan Bernardo participates as Director in the Chamber of Insurers of Venezuela and is part of the Venezuelan Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). At Arcaya Family Office, he is in charge of the finance and new business area. Juan Bernardo has a degree in Business from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he graduated with honors and has completed courses in the areas of Insurance, Reinsurance, Claims, Money Legitimation, Investment Portfolio Management, Treasury, and Capital Markets.
